Employer Nomination Scheme
This is a permanent residence visa for applicants who are highly skilled.
There are four categories for employer-sponsored migration to Australia and they are as follows:
The Employer Nomination Scheme
allows Australian companies or employers to recruit permanent
highly-skilled staff from overseas or from people holding temporary
visas in Australia in circumstances where the Australian
companies/employers have not been able to fill a vacancy from within
the Australian labour market, or via their own training programs.
The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme is
designed to assist Australian companies or employers in regional/low
population growth areas of Australia, who are unable to fill skilled
vacancies from within the Australian labour market.
Labour Agreements allow
Australian companies/employers to recruit (either permanently or
temporarily) a specified number of workers from overseas in occupations
identified with skill shortages within Australia’s labour market.
Finally, for international firms, the
Invest Australia Support Skills program
encourages overseas companies to choose Australia as a location for
foreign direct investment. It allows overseas companies that make a
significant investment in Australia to bring out essential key
expatriate managerial and/or specialist employees from within the
company group.
If you are an Australian company or employer who wishes to sponsor an
overseas person or persons for migration, or would like assistance with
you’re an existing application (that is, an application that has
already been lodged), then please contact our office. We will make a
comprehensive assessment of your likely eligibility and review with you
